Q: What kind of installation should the bay have?
A: You have only need a switch (an RJ-45 connector) or a 10/100 Mb/s hub. We can also provide optical fiber connections at 10/100/1000 Mb/s (SX).

Q: Which is the exact location (address) of your bay?
A: Our switches are located at the Télécity Data Center. We have our own private room. Your cabinet/server will be displayed in the Télécity collocation space.

Q: Which are the ways of access to the bay?
A: You have 24/7 access to your private cabinet after having filled in our access file containing the authorized staff to work with our servers. You will vouch for these people and an ID paper will be asked under penalty of access denial to the Data Center. Please pay a special attention if you come with people who are non-identified on the list, despite your presence, their access will be denied. We put at your disposal, free of charge, a screen, a keyboard, a mouse as well as a Linux Debian running PC.

Q: What does the ordering process consist in?
A: You just have to fill in the purchase order on the Internet with your needs (activity, bandwidth, number of IPs, evolution etc). We will send you back a purchase order and a contract which you will have to send back to us afterwards (by fax or/and post). We will install the ordered cabinet(s) provided we acknowledge receipt of your file.

Q: How long does it take to prepare a Cabinet/Server and when can you deliver it?
A: In case we provide the bay, we will also deliver it , together with the network -including the Internet connection- and the power supply, within 1 hour.

Q: How does the Cabinet/Server delivery take place?
A: You can contact directly on the site our technical assistant who will give you all the technical data related to your bay as well as the details about how the site works.

Q: What kind of support is included with my cabinet/Server?
A: We can offer you 1 hour support 24/7 (FLS) during the first level. Here are the things that CTN1 include in your support: 1 hour free intervention per month, physical reboot of your server, RJ connection of your computer, material delivery while you are away, change of backup tapes, CD installation and OS un-installation. The intervention time-limit is guaranteed for up to an hour.

Q: How does the physical plugging in take place?
A: It is included without any additional or hidden fees. We take care of everything; we bring a 8 Port RJ-45 connector to your bay. We connect the first two plugs, one for the production and the other for the backup, to different switches in our installations. If a breakdown concerning our equipment occurs, it is enough to connect the wire to another socket.

Q: How to manage the additional IP requests?
A: An e-mail containing planned and motivated use is enough for our support team, within the available categories. This service is free of charge. The RIPE bans the resell of IP addresses.

Q: Is the bandwidth guaranteed?
R: Yes, it is guaranteed by the SLA. You can use the bandwidth as a whole at any time and control its loading by our network usage graphs on our multi-operators platform.

Q: Do I need special equipment in order to benefit from the Ipv6?
R: No, as most of the operating systems recognize the Ipv6 protocol. You can use any of your Linux, Free BSD, Windows 2000/2003 based servers. The switching equipment is compatible with all of the TCP/IP (v4 or v6) protocol. You are connected to a 10, 100, 1000 Mb/s private switch link, to our core gigabyte network.

Q: I need a 25 Mb/s bandwidth. Is it possible for you to deliver only 25 Mb/s?
R: Not for the time being. We can propose other offers, as for instance the Cabinet/Server+ bandwidth packages at a very competitive price, as they are very simple and practically with no paper work required. This is why we come only with 10, 30, 40 or 100 Mb/s with no limitation in use and at a reasonable price.

Q: Do you want to have your own AS/N and use the BGP?
R: We can provide this service on turnkey. Thank you for contacting the Sales Department for further details.

Q: Do you want to leave us?
R: You only have to send us a 30 day notice by e-mail and mail and that would be it. Of course, you have no additional fees except if you have used an additional period of time without having paid for it.
